Summer Science

Summer will be here before we know it. The Petroleum Museum has the perfect solution to keep kids learning and having fun this summer. Even better is they have activities for all ages.  Read on for details and registration link.

  • STEAM Sprouts Mini Camps

STEAM Sprouts Mini-Camps will encourage students ages 4-5 to tap into their creative engineering skills to solve real-world problems. Students will engage in hands-on investigations, building, and tinkering throughout each camp.  Each Mini-Camp will have two identical sessions offered; one from 9:30 – 11:00 am and another from 12:30 – 2:00 pm. The cost per Mini Camp is $40 for Museum members and $50 for non-members. Pre-registration is required. STEAM Sprouts is generously sponsored by SM Energy.

  • Movie Maker Mondays

Movie Maker Mondays will be held on the second and fourth Monday of June & July. Each Movie Maker Monday will feature a movie, hands-on experiments, engineering challenges, and games. Movie Maker Mondays are held from 1:00 – 5:00 pm and are for students ages 6-12. Cost is $10 for Museum members and $15 for non-members. Pre-registration is required.  

  • Summer Science Camps

During our Summer Science Camps, students will engage in fun experiments, creative activities, and robotic design. Camps for students ages 6-8 will be held in June. The cost is $60 for Petroleum Museum members and $75 for non-members. Topics will include Full STEAM Ahead!To Infinity & Beyond!, and Splash into Science. Pre-registration is required.
For ages 8-12, we will be offering two four-day, half-day Science Camps in July. The cost is $80 for  Museum members and $100 for non-members. Topics include LEGO Mini Masters: Dream Park and 3D Adventurers. Pre-registration required.
