The Face of One on One Patient Care Courtyard Family Practice

Nov 19, 2019 02:45PM

Kevin Salas, APRN, FNP-C

The sphere of family medicine is changing, and Kevin Salas and the team at Courtyard Family Practice are leading the way. A bilingual staff whose philosophy revolves around personalized patient care at the highest level, this West Texas office promises accessibility and cost-efficiency to all who walk through the door. With 15 years of medical trauma and emergency experience to guide him, Salas notes patient care as his top priority. A Midland native, he graduated from Lee High School before getting his paramedic and RN licenses from Midland College. After receiving his BS and MS in Nursing from Texas Tech, he returned to the Permian Basin to embark on a well-rounded career in the medical field. With stints as a paramedic, ER nurse, flight nurse and nurse practitioner, his impressive resume includes an array of certifications, including one as a Nationally Registered Certified Medical Examiner. As his history in medicine clearly demonstrates, Salas has seen and done it all. More importantly, two-way communication means everything to him, so much so that he set up a Facebook page for the Practice that allows patients to schedule appointments, ask questions, and receive updates 24 hours a day. Clearly, the Courtyard team listens—an overlooked and under-practiced art these days.
