Russell Tippin has been the President and Chief Executive Officer of Medical Center Health System since August 2019. Tippin graduated from Andrews High School and later graduated from Howard Payne University. He earned a Master of Business Administration degree with an emphasis in Healthcare Administration from the University of Phoenix in 2010. Tippin has more than 20 years’ experience in healthcare administration. Most recently, Tippin was the CEO at Permian Regional Medical Center in Andrews for 10 years. “I have dreamed about [MCHS] for 20 years and to see it come together is really special for me,” said Tippin. He is a member of the American College of Health Care Executives, serves on the Board for the Texas Hospital Association, and is the Board Chair of the Texas Hospital Insurance Exchange. He received the Texas Organization of Rural and Community Hospital’s coveted Gordan Russell Award in April 2019. This award recognizes outstanding merit in Healthcare Administration. Tippin has been married for 18 years to his wife Lisa and together they have two wonderful children, Tucker and Macy Rose. He looks forward to empowering MCHS to continue providing high level care to all patients in West Texas.
