The Face of Entertainment Wagner Noël Performing Arts Center

Stephanie Rivas, General Manager of Wagner Noël Performing Arts Center

Although the Permian Basin offers significant opportunities for cultural enhancement, sometimes you need to take things up a notch. So, the next time you think your entertainment options have stagnated, consider taking in a show at Wagner Noël Performing Arts Center. One of the nation’s premiere venues for live art and cultural diversion, this 1,827-seat theatre has something for everyone. As Stephanie Rivas, the Wagner Noël’s General Manager puts it, “Our facility drives a variety of entertainment, from stand-up comedy and Broadway musicals to rock concerts and kids’ shows. We aim to bring Midland/Odessa patrons the best.” And Rivas should know. She has been with the facility since it opened in 2011, coming in as the Marketing Manager with a familiar face; having spent 15 years on the television news circuit. Permian Basin residents already shared their living rooms with her knowing smile. With a penchant for theatre (her original major in college), Rivas came to Wagner Noël wanting to reacquaint herself with the stage. Eight years later, she’s helped Wagner Noël grow in its artistic endeavors and flourish in patronage. In fact, it sells enough tickets to make it one of the nation’s top 10 performing arts facilities, and hosted 191 events in 2018 alone. So, come see what all the fuss is about and make 2020 your cultural high point.
