Locke Family Chicken Fried Steak
4 tenderized Round or Cube Steaks – approximately 4 oz. each
2 cups all purpose white flour
1 ½ cups milk
Pinch salt and black pepper
1 cup canola oil
Cut 3 lbs. steak into six slices and tenderize or use tenderized steak.
Mix together flour, salt and pepper and set aside.
Combine milk and eggs; whisk.
Coat both sides of steak with flour mixture. Dip coated meat in egg/milk mixture. Again coat both sides of steak with flour mixture.
Heat olive oil. Drop coated steak into hot oil. Fry until golden brown on both sides, approximately 4-5 mins per side.
Rest steak on paper towel.
